Picture of Gallagher's new health law attorney, Luanne MottleyAttorney Luanne “Lu” Mottley has joined Gallagher’s Health Law Practice Group and will advise hospital, nursing home, physician, and other health clients on regulatory compliance, privacy issues, employment agreements, and various state and federal laws.

Lu has a background in neuroscience and biochemistry, graduating cum laude from William & Mary in 2020 with a Bachelor of Science. She received her JD from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law in 2023 graduating cum laude with a Certificate in Health Law.

Prior to joining Gallagher, Lu clerked for the Honorable Melanie M. Shaw of the Appellate Court of Maryland (2023-2024). She also served as a trainee with the Kennedy Krieger Institute’s Project HEAL, providing civil legal services for children with intellectual and developmental disabilities and preparing policy reports.

Lu is a member of the American Health Law Association.
