The law firm of Gallagher Evelius & Jones is pleased to welcome Adam D. Block as a partner.
Adam brings more than a decade of experience to Gallagher’s Real Estate and Business Transactions and Affordable Housing Groups, representing developers, owners and equity investors in all stages of the real estate development process, from land acquisition through development, financing, construction, operation, and disposition. He joined the firm in 2012 after graduating from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law, and played a key role in supporting the firm’s real estate development practice for the next eight years. Adam has significant experience representing borrowers in all manner of financing transactions, including construction, agency and permanent loans, tax increment financing and new markets, historic and low income housing tax credits. In his practice, he represents owners and developers in the formation of business entities, commercial condominium regimes and residential condominium and homeowner associations
Adam’s experience outside of Gallagher includes serving as Deputy General Counsel at The Cordish Companies and working for the Maryland Department of Natural Resources acquiring conservation lands on behalf of the State. He has been repeatedly recognized as a Maryland Super Lawyers Rising Star.

Adam earned a bachelor of science degree from the University of New Hampshire, where he graduated magna cum laude in 2001. In 2004, he received a master of science degree from the University of Michigan School of Natural Resources and Environment, before going on to graduate cum laude from the University of Maryland School of Law. While in law school, Adam served as an Associate Editor of the Maryland Law Review and was a Leadership Scholar.
Adam is a member of the American Bar Association, Maryland State Bar Association, and Urban Land Institute. He currently serves as a board member of the Homeless Persons Representation Project, which is Maryland’s only legal services and advocacy organization dedicated to eliminating homelessness.
