Sam Cowin is an associate in Gallagher’s Litigation Group. Sam has experience drafting motions and briefs on complex issues of federal and state law, arguing in state trial and appellate courts, and advising clients on litigation risks in a variety of contexts. Sam also has experience representing clients in arbitration proceedings and in connection with government agency investigations.
Sam is committed to pro bono service and maintains an active pro bono practice. Most recently, he briefed and argued cases before the Maryland Court of Appeals, Maryland Court of Special Appeals, D.C. Court of Appeals, and D.C. Superior Court.
After graduating from law school, Sam worked as a law clerk for the Hon. Anthony Epstein, District of Columbia Superior Court, Civil Division (2012 – 2013), and for the Hon. Chief Judge Mary Ellen Barbera, Maryland Court of Appeals (2013 – 2014).
