Gallagher is pleased to officially welcome Frederick “Rick” Gerriets Jr. as an associate and congratulates him on being sworn into the Maryland Bar. Rick joins Gallagher’s Affordable Housing, Private Equity, and Real Estate, and Business Transactions Practice Groups.
A versatile attorney with a strong understanding of client issues, Rick works with a transportation-focused global investment manager, entities focused on affordable housing, and CRE organizations. He performs contract review and closing work, assists in the negotiation of purchase and sale agreements, conducts title and survey research, and assists with general corporate compliance.
Rick received his JD from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law in 2024, where he attended evening classes while working full-time as a paralegal in Gallagher’s Real Estate Practice Group. He graduated from James Madison University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a minor in Political Science.
Prior to joining the legal industry, Rick built and developed a range of art spaces, garnering experience in idea generation, problem solving and follow-through.
